History Files Index
Since its 1967 inception, the society has accumulated a substantial collection of documents – clippings, letters, articles, notes on conversations, and sketches – pertaining to our local history.
There are now more than twelve feet of historical files, consisting of nearly 5,000 documents organized by subject matter into 201 topics, and individually indexed at the document level in an 80+ page index, which is updated as new documents enter the collection.
These files have been digitized (as of November 2023) and the digitial versions are available from a public computer in the Reed House.
Below is an alphabetized listing of the history files. For a downloadable copy of this list, click here. You may view the contents of these files at the museum, or museum staff and volunteers may do simple searches for a reasonable fee. Please call for details.
